Fire & Ice Series with Anna Brueckner ~ 4 week program ~ 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd February

A progressive program that builds physical, mental, and emotional resilience over the weeks through Heated Vinyasa practice, breath work, ice baths, reflection and community.

Join the program from 11am to 1pm for each Sunday in February or attend a single event.

The program:

Heated Vinyasa Flow (45 minutes)

The vinyasa flow will progressively increase in intensity and complexity. Each week can focus on a different element of resilience (e.g., strength, flexibility, balance, focus).

Focus: The physical challenge prepares the body for the breath work and ice baths, which will help shift from an external physical practice to a more internal one.

Breath Work Before Ice Baths (10-15 minutes):

The breath work will calm the nervous system and prepare the body for the ice bath by activating the parasympathetic response.

Ice Bath Immersion (15-20 minutes):

Approx. 5 ice baths with water and ice. Participants can share or alternate the ice bath.

Guided breathwork during the ice baths to help participants to stay present and regulate their body’s response to the cold, relaxing into the sensations and easing resistance.

Weekly Progression:

Week 1-2: Introduction to the concept of resilience and simpler vinyasa sequences (suitable also for beginners). Use calming breath work before the ice bath and keep ice bath times shorter (approx. 2-3 minutes each, depending on experience).

Week 3-4: Increase the intensity of the vinyasa flow, incorporating more challenging asanas. Gradually lengthen the ice bath duration to 3-5 min (or longer, if you can manage)

Closing practice: relaxing sound bath followed by refreshments and discussion on the learnings, experience and growth over the weeks.
